The Ruined Country

There is the dictator, yelling ruthlessly at his own kinsmen. The subjects obey his orders and provide him with all his needs, while he impatiently yells yet again to hurry them up. He would whip them if he could find himself out of his lethargy.

He gets angry with the kinsmen. They try with their might to please him—only because they themselves are too weak to challenge his authority. Betrayal of trust and friendship plagues the kinsfolk, each attempting to prove their loyalty to the one who subtly ignores their plights for some form of freedom.

The mother of this tyrant chats animatedly with her friends and laughs at the threats the ruler places upon the kinsmen, causing many to cry. She finds this all funny—as if he would never dare to do anything horrible to his own blood. How little she knows.

An insignificant creature sits with tears in its eyes—powerless to stop this tyranny, waiting for it all to end.
